This framed piece is an assemblage, made with a piece of sea-worn wood, a fragment of orange fishing line with ceramic pieces held in place with thin iron wire. It’s called Bento Sea as, to me at least, it had a suggestion of Japanese dining to it, though, perhaps not as tasty. Maybe you see something else in it. It’s available for £150 and all proceeds from the sale of this piece will be donated to Amnesty UK in support of Black Lives Matter.
All the objects are held in the frame using wire. The backing board is a soft dark grey and the wooden frame is stained and waxed to a dark brown-black finish and left without glass to allow the viewer to get up close and see the details. The piece is signed by the artist and the frame comes with appropriate hanging wire.
