New and upcoming events for Spring 2019
January – June 2019
To coincide with the Hepworth Wakefield’s exhibition ‘Magdalene Odundo: The Journey of Things’, the gallery are showcasing a selection of ceramics by contemporary makers, working in a variety of styles and formats. As a former student of Magdalene I am delighted to have a selection of work there on show in the foyer. The exhibition of Magdalene’s work is stunning and offers a superbly curated collection of her works and her influences. I highly recommend a visit to see the exhibition if you can.
16 February – 2 June 2019
The Selkie : A collaborative show between myself and textile artist Imogen Di Sapia will be held at the beautiful Lokal+ artists space in Helsinki, Finland. The show is open 23 Feb to 03 Mar 2019: at Lokal+ Annankatu 11. A range of new ceramics have been created as my response to the colours and textures of Imogen’s woven blanket pieces and in response to her making process and materials. The resulting pieces work seamlessly together.
The work will then return to the UK and be shown at Imogen Di Sapia’s gallery studio ‘Bright Moon Weaving Studio‘ in Brighton – date TBA.

I will be exhibiting my ceramics in the Pool House as part of their exhibition ‘From Where I’m Standing’. I will be exhibiting vessels and wall pieces made specifically for the show.
I am also excited to be exhibiting another new piece of work at the show – a large-scale outdoor site-specific sculpture that will be situated on the river banks at the Fresh Air Sculpture show. This is a new and exciting direction for me. You will be able to follow my progress on Instagram as I make the new work.
There will also be details available soon on the Fresh Air Sculpture show website.
