Well, looks like Spring/Summer has turned out a bit different this year. Most planned events have been cancelled or significantly postponed. But many galleries are still selling online so please support them if you can. See below for news about the shows that are now online and I will re-stock my online shop periodically this summer, so follow me on Instagram or sign up to my Mailing List to get notice of when that will go live.
Online Shop update and Made Makers event
On the 5th of September I will be restocking my online shop with new work. Starting Saturday 5th at 9am, I’ll be updating the site with new pieces fresh from the kiln and some new styles for you to see. The shop restock will coincide with Made Makers – an online selling event where you will find 100 of the best makers showcasing their work.
In addition to visiting my online shop you can head over to Made Makers online fair, set up by Tutton and Young (the people behind Made London). The fair will provide a great opportunity for buyers to be able to make contact with makers again and see exceptional handmade pieces all in one place.
My work will be part of this free indoor design and craft fair, showcasing top makers of ceramics, jewellery, textiles and more. All from the comfort of your own home.
The 6th August will see the launch of a new collection of Woodland vessels made especially for Gallery East in Woodbridge Suffolk. This beautiful gallery space will house clusters of chalk-white and flint-black vessels with additions of beach twigs, willow, and porcelain pieces inspired by woodland finds.
Also in May my work would have been returning to the beautiful Lingwood Samuel Art gallery in Godalming Surrey, to coincide with their exhibition ‘The Wilding’. This show has been rescheduled to May 2021. But in the mean time, they will be showcasing the work of artists they would have included. So check out their product pages for available pieces by contributing artists.
I currently have work at the Bircham Gallery in Holt, Norfolk; included as part of their exhibition Journey into Landscape in March. But my vessels can still be purchased from the gallery via their online shop.
They also hold two framed pieces at the gallery, available for purchase but not currently listed in their online shop. Contact the gallery by email to enquire about these:
Throughout May I would have been part of a fabulous ‘Artists Open House’ event at Streat Place Barn in Ditchling, East Sussex. In the rural setting of a medieval Barn, on the Ditchling Trail, the show has been postponed and will now hopefully take place in September/October.
The event will include the work of host jeweller Jinks McGrath and “wonderful work from Sussex-based artists and craftspeople”: Steve Turner – Work in Wood / Elaine Bolt – Ceramics / Linda Dooley – Spring Knitwear / Laila Smith – Jewellery / Ed Boxall – Books & Prints
